Relationship affecting friendship
Many times when you get into a relationship sometimes you put aside your friends and focus on that one special person. This is great and normal; however, should the relationship die off and your back to being single again what then? If you should run back to your friends well, they just might not be there waiting for you. This is because you pushed aside all the people that actually cared for you and that have always been there for you. Sometimes you get so caught up in the person your with that you don’t realize how much harm you create should the relationship not last. You need to learn to balance both and try to give space and time to both your relationship and your friends. At this stage in your life friends are an important source of balance and having a relationship is a part of life but you must learn a sense of adaption between the two. At this point in your life putting aside your friends for a relationship is not all that smart, because these relationships usually last a short period of time and you need to know your friends would be there should you need them.

  1. This is all so true. Last year I had a friend who totally ditched me for her boyfriend and when they broke up she realized I wasn't just waiting for her. I think its extremely dumb for people to choose their boyfriend/girlfriend over their friends at this age.
